Every item sold on WholeTrove is guaranteed authentic, in working condition, and as described on its product page. This page explains the standard we hold our supply chain to, and what we do if anything falls short.
What “authentic” means at WholeTrove
- Brand-name items are sourced from the brand itself, an authorized distributor, or a verified wholesale partner — never from grey-market resellers or unverified social-commerce channels.
- Generic / unbranded items are sourced from factories we audit for product quality and labor practices.
- Listings are honest. If an item is “inspired by” a brand and not the brand itself, the product page says so plainly. If a product has a stated expiry, serial number, or warranty, those details are accurate.
How we verify
- Every new supplier passes a documentation check (business registration, brand authorization where applicable, product samples).
- Random inbound quality inspections on each shipment — visual, functional, and packaging integrity.
- Customer reports feed back into supplier scores. Repeat issues mean the supplier is delisted, no exceptions.
Our product standards
- Items ship new and unopened unless explicitly listed as “open box” or “refurbished” — and refurb items go through a separate inspection checklist.
- Where the manufacturer offers a warranty, items ship with that warranty intact.
- Items with expiry dates ship with sufficient remaining shelf life to use them as intended.
- Items in contact with food, skin, or animals meet the relevant safety standards for their use case.
If something falls short
If you receive an item you believe is counterfeit, defective, or materially different from its product page, we want to know — and we make it right:
- Email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos.
- We’ll reply within one business day with a prepaid return label.
- You’ll get a full refund, a replacement, or store credit — your choice — once we receive the item.
- If we confirm the supplier was at fault, we delist them. Permanently.
Reporting suspected counterfeits
If you spot a listing that looks counterfeit or mis-described, please report it to [email protected]. Brand-owner reports are reviewed within 48 hours and the listing is removed during investigation.
